Twentieth Century is the comedic story of Oscar Jaffe, a successful and egomaniacal Broadway director, who has transformed a chorus girl, Lily Garland, into a leading lady. As Lily rises to stardom and heads to Hollywood, Oscar begins a career downslide. Bankrupt and on his way out, Oscar boards a train, the Twentieth Century Limited, where he coincidentally runs into Lily again. Oscar pulls out all the stops to persuade the now temperamental star to return for another show.
The show's cast includes Alec Baldwin as "Oscar Jaffe," Anne Heche as "Lily Garland," Tom Aldredge as "Matthew Clark," Terry Beaver as the "Conductor," Patrick Boll as "Detective," Robert Jimenez as the "Porter," Dan Butler as "Owen O'Malley," Stephen DeRosa as "Beard" & "Max Jacobs," Julie Halston as "Ida Webb," Kellie Overbey as "Anita Highland," Ryan Shively as "George Smith" and Jonathan Walker as "Dr. Grover Lockwood."
This exciting new adaptation by Ken Ludwig (Crazy For You, Lend Me A Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo) will be directed by Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award-winner Walter Bobbie (Chicago, Footloose).

a new play by Lynn Nottage
directed by Daniel Sullivan
Intimate Apparel takes place at the dawn of the 20th century, when opportunities for African-American women are in short supply. But 35-year-old Esther (played by Tony® and Drama Desk Award winner Viola Davis) has a gift for sewing exquisite lingerie. Her creations are worn by Park Avenue socialites and downtown prostitutes alike, and offer her a rare life of independence. Still, she is lonely and risks it all to wed a Caribbean stranger whom she knows only through a romantic exchange of letters. When she realizes that he may not be the same person who wrote those impassioned thoughts, Esther must answer difficult questions about her own identity, about tradition, and about a woman's place in the world.
Intimate Apparel is a new play by Lynn Nottage. Her previous plays include Mud, River, Stone (Playwrights Horizons), Crumbs from the Table of Joy (Steppenwolf, Second Stage, Sundance Playwrights Lab), Por'knockers (Vineyard Theatre, Dance Theatre Workshop), and POOF! (Heideman Award, Actor's Theatre of Louisville's Humana Festival, City Ensemble Stage, The Action Theatre in Singapore).
This production continues the Roundabout Theatre Company's relationship with Tony® award-winning Director Daniel Sullivan. He directed the Tony®-nominated production of Major Barbara starring Dana Ivey, Cherry Jones, David Warner and Denis O'Hare in the summer of 2001.

directed by Scott Schwartz
Acclaimed film and stage star Matthew Broderick returns to the New York stage in Larry Shue's comedy The Foreigner after recently completing a heralded and record-breaking return engagement in Mel Brook's Tony® Award winning The Producers, for which he received his third Tony nomination. Broderick received Tony® Awards for his performances in How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying! and Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs. Broderick will star in the much anticipated film version of Mel Brook's The Producers opposite Nathan Lane and Nicole Kidman in 2005.
The Foreigner features Frances Sternhagen, who recently appeared in Talking Heads Off Broadway and Morning's at Seven on Broadway, for which she received a Tony nomination. In 2000, she starred Off-Broadway in The Exact Center of the Universe. Nominated seven times for a Tony Award, she has received it twice, for The Good Doctor and The Heiress.
The cast also includes Kevin Cahoon (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Mary Catherine Garrison (Assassins), Neal Huff (Take Me Out), Byron Jennings (The Man Who Came to Dinner) and Lee Tergesen (HBO's "OZ").
The Foreigner tells the uproariously farcical tale of a lovable but socially inept Brit who escapes his stressful life by booking a holiday in backwoods U.S.A. He desperately tries to avoid the local yokels by posing as a foreigner who doesn't understand a word of English. But the plan hilariously backfires when he becomes the perfect person with whom all share their deepest secrets and schemes.
