Roundabout Underground

ROUNDABOUT UNDERGROUND
Roundabout Theatre Company has gone “underground”.
Roundabout Underground cultivates new theatre artists by giving them the opportunity to debut their works as full-scale productions in the Black Box Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. Emerging playwrights and directors receive the support of a major theatrical institution without the pressure of premiering on a New York mainstage. Roundabout launched this new artistic and audience development initiative with the critically-lauded Speech and Debate by Stephen Karam. Last season, Roundabout Underground presents its first musical, Ordinary Days with music and lyrics by Adam Gwon. This season, Roundabout Underground presents two plays - in the fall Kim Rosenstock's play Tigers Be Still, and in the spring The Dream of the Burning Boy by David West Read.

HIPTIX

HIPTIX “New and Improved”
$20 TIX and even more access!
On December 15th, 2000, Roundabout Theatre Company introduced HIPTIX, a new low-priced ticket alternative for theatregoers ages 18-35. Internationally recognized for its audience development programs, Roundabout Theatre Company launched HIPTIX to bridge the gap between its comprehensive arts-in-education program and its innovative Theatre-Plus program (including the highly popular Gay and Lesbian, Social, Wine Tasting and Teacher's Series). HIPTIX targets a segment of the population traditionally under-represented in New York theatres by making Broadway and Off-Broadway productions affordable for young professionals.

This popular program for young professionals and students continues to grow with cheaper tickets and even more access. Roundabout has allocated 24,600 tickets to be sold for only $20 each for HIPTIX members. This is an increase of 5,000 tickets and includes more seats for all Roundabout shows, at every venue.

HIPTIX members pay just $20
for all Roundabout shows

Available in advance by phone and at the box office.
You MUST be a HIPTIX member (ages 18-35) to purchase $20 tickets.
