FOR ROUNDABOUT'S
2006-2007 SEASON!
Productions under consideration for our full eight-production season:
Broadway
Philip Bosco in
George Bernard Shaw's
HEARTBREAK HOUSE

Tony® Award winner Philip Bosco will star in George Bernard Shaw's HEARTBREAK HOUSE. This will be Mr. Bosco's 13th Roundabout production, having last been seen in the Tony® nominated production of Twelve Angry Men, for which he received a Tony® nomination for Best Actor. Heartbreak House follows the unlikely romantic encounters that occur in an estate on the English countryside. Romance springs ever eternal but never mutual, and the only stable marriages have the least to do with love.
Broadway
Audra McDonald in
Harvey Schmidt, Tom Jones
and N. Richard Nash's
110 IN THE SHADE

Four-time Tony® Award winner Audra McDonald will star in Harvey Schmidt, Tom Jones and N. Richard Nash's Tony® nominated 110 IN THE SHADE, directed by Tony® nominee Lonny Price. The team that made The Fantasticks the longest running musical in history work their inimitable magic on Richard Nash's heart-warming play The Rainmaker. In 110 in the Shade, the mercurial Starbuck promises rain for a drought-stricken town and passion for the stalwart but resigned Lizzie. The Tony® nominated musical includes such classic songs as "Love, Don't Turn Away" and "Melisande."
Off-Broadway
Alfred Molina in
Patrick Marber's
HOWARD KATZ

Two-time Tony® nominee Alfred Molina will star in the American premiere of Tony® nominee Patrick Marber's HOWARD KATZ, directed by Tony winner Doug Hughes. This haunting play is centered on a once powerful, hard-as-nails talent agent now down on his luck. Marber traces the story of the mighty Katz through dream-like flashbacks, capturing a man in freefall, yet determinedly clinging to life. Howard Katz is a universal tale about the search for faith and the power of love that will touch even the most hardened soul.
Off-Broadway
Joe Dowling directs
Brian Friel's
THE HOME PLACE

Joe Dowling will direct the American premiere of Tony® Award winner Brian Friel's THE HOME PLACE. The year is 1878. The widowed Christopher Gore, his son David and the woman they are both in love with, their housekeeper Margaret, live in The Lodge in Ballybeg. But in this era of unrest at the dawn of Home Rule, the seemingly serene life enjoyed at The Lodge is threatened by the arrival of Christopher's English cousin, who unwittingly ignites deep animosity among the villagers of Ballybeg.
