Roundabout Theatre Company, the nation’s largest not-for-profit theatre company, seeks a Digital Manager. This position is responsible for managing Roundabout Theatre Company’s digital, social and email marketing strategy and activities to increase awareness, revenue, and engagement with company productions, events, and activities. The position reports to the Director of Marketing, and will work closely with members of the Marketing, Audience Services, Development, and IT staff. This position supervises the Digital Coordinator and Email Associate.

 

This is some of what the Digital Manager will do:

  • Oversee a company-wide multichannel digital direct response and social strategy to build lasting customer relationships and increase lifetime value.
  • Develop ongoing strategies and annual calendar to test, learn and leverage customer data, segmentation and loyalty in conjunction with members of the Marketing team.
  • Implement additional data segmentation opportunities in direct response strategy.
  • Oversee a company-wide social media/engagement strategy and social media policy.
  • Oversee the production, development and evaluation of email campaigns in conjunction with departments across the organization and the Email Associate.
  • Oversee the production, development and evaluation of social media content and institutional use of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) in conjunction with the Digital Coordinator
  • Increase visibility of our digital communications and platforms across the institution with a view to establish and grow a digital culture at Roundabout.
  • Maintain and keep up to date with web accessibility standards across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with departments across the institution and external marketing partners to produce email campaigns and social media content (cross-promotions, development appeals, education notices, etc.).
  • Oversee Roundabout’s app and emails for Criterion Ticketing and assist with integration and product developments with Activity Stream and Crowd Engage
  • Remain up to date with advancements in digital strategy and technology, with a focus on engagement, customization, and analysis.


This is some of what the Digital Manager should bring: 
 

  • 5–7 years of experience in digital or direct marketing for a company or institution
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities, with a keen ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
  • Design sensibility, basic Photoshop and/or graphic design skills, and basic HTML knowledge
  • Experience with Tessitura or comparable application
  • Experience with Wordfly or comparable email tool
  • Experience with Sprout Social, Simply Measured, and/or other digital reporting software
  • Experience with GA4
  • Theatre knowledge and appreciation
  • Passion for emerging technologies and digital platforms

This is a full-time exempt position with all standard Roundabout benefits. The salary range is $85,000–$90,000 annually.
